Veteran Journalist from Television Jamaica, Kirk Wright, has been released from hospital following a stabbing incident at his home in St Catherine on Friday, November 19.

Since his release, Mr Wright has taken to social media to urge viewers to disregard baseless rumors surrounding the event, citing that 99 per cent of what is purported on social media is oftentimes false.

He notes, “there are some negative comments but you know it’s okay, people say all sorts of things.. that I was in ICU, theatre, and I was in surgery, none of that.”

He then stressed that the primary aim of the video was to give an update of his current state of being following the state of events, and notes that he is now ready for work.

“I am doing this to let everyone know that I am out, but everyone who sends prayers, big up unuh self. Mi ready fi work again!” he shared.
