Bunny Shaw gives back to Spanish town community

National senior Reggae Girlz captain Khadijah ‘Bunny’ Shaw, not only shines on the field-of-play but also as a philanthropist. The Manchester City striker hosted a small give back to the Spanish town community in the form a six-a-side competition on Sunday.

Shaw who is on break from a long season of football in England, began to fulfil one of her endeavors of giving back to her home town.

The six-a-side mini-tournament which was held at the Damn Head field in Angels, Spanish town, attracted several teams from in and around the community and provided well needed and appreciated fun-filled wholesome activity for residents.

The competition also attracted a few notable patrons such as Tru Ambassador music producer Jahvel “Jahvy” Morrison, as well as entertainer ‘Deno Crazy’, which boosted the entertainment value of the give-back.

The Manchester City forward who was a standout since her school days at the Spanish based St. Jago high, has been seen as a role model for many aspiring ballers and athletes from the area and continues to live up to that title.

The Country’s all-time record goal scorer, showed just a much excitement and jubilance in the all that participated and turned out.

With this latest endeavor the Reggae Girlz not only finds the target while playing, but certainly keeps scoring in the hearts of many.

She will have a little to time rest and recover, before getting back into camp ahead of the Girlz the next phase of the World Cup qualifying in the CONCACAF Women’s championship in July.

They open their group A fixture against host country Mexico on July 4 before facing the US on July 7.
