Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, Kylian Mbappe, has rubbished claims of witchcraft against Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and has instead come out in support of his France teammate.

Last week’s Pogba estranged brother Mathias Pogba, leveled damning allegations that the former Manchester United player had been involved in witchcraft to harm compatriot Mbappe.

“I don’t think it will alter my relationship with him.”

“As of today, I prefer to trust the word of a teammate. He called me, he gave me his version of the story and as of today, it is his word against his brother’s word.”

Mbappe said during the news conference ahead of PSG’s Champions League match against Juventus on Tuesday.

The allegations come amidst reports, of an investigation into claims of extortion of the Juventus player by his elder brother Mathias Pogba and childhood friends.

“So I will trust my teammate, in the best of interest of the national team as well. We have a big competition (World Cup) coming up. He has some issues at the moment so it is not the moment to add to them for him and that’s it. Mbappe said

“We will see what happens. I am pretty detached about it ”he added.

Mathais, who is said to be the mastermind behind the extortion, has reportedly threatened to release evidence that proves Paul’s involvement in sorcery.

Paul Pogba reportedly told investigators that they wanted to discredit him by claiming he asked a witch doctor to cast a spell on Mbappe.

Pogba himself is currently out of action for the Italian club and is set to do surgery on a knee injury, which now puts him in a race against time to be fit enough for the World Cup in November.
