Top music producer & selector Zj Chrome has released his first riddim for 2024, titled ‘Above the Line’ which is the final part of a series of riddims that he started in 2020.

The riddim features several songs embracing love and different aspects of life by six amazing Jamaican reggae and dancehall artistes.

The riddim is a follow-up to his 2020 ‘Between the Lines’, then his 2021 ‘On the Lines’ & now he has released ‘Above the Lines’ which features D-major – “Emergency”, Cecile – “CANT Change”, Konshens – “Villain Story”, Christopher Martin – “The Hate Song, KLYVE – “Always On Time” and Alaine – “Be There”.

In an interview with SLEEK, Chrome said, “Of course each riddim sounds close enough to know they are related, but unique enough to make a statement. So that’s how we are at above the lines, pretty much above the standards!”

He also made it known that he has no intention of adding any more artistes to the project which took “Over a year to complete.”

The riddim has been holding its own as it has been streamed in the reggae top 10 via Apple//iTunes in the Netherlands, Japan, and Switzerland. When asked about this, the top DJ (selector) said, he has “No expectations, I just do music that I love and what happens, I’m grateful.”

Meanwhile, Chrome who is continuously working on several projects revealed that “I have a few singles to drop that will be different from anything I’ve done & what’s happening now”. Those projects will include songs by Masicka, Teejay, and Vybz Kartel.
