Chinese mother faces bitter public divorce after delivering a dark-shinned baby

What was expected to be the proudest moment in the marriage of a Chinese couple was instead a revelation of chaos and distrust following the birth of their child as the husband demanded a paternity test due to the newborn’s suspiciously dark hue.

Local newspaper China Times recently reported the bizarre case of a 30-year-old Shanghai woman desperately seeking to rescue her marriage followng the situation.

The case which has been a hot among the social chatter first came to light after the woman expressed her distreesed story on social media as she asked other mothers for advice on how to handle the situation.

In describing the sequence, she noted the husband’s bewilderment and unease in seeing his son for the first time refusing to hold him. She also expressed confusion and embarrassment following the baby’s dark skin tone while expressing her faithfulness to her husband.

Despite agreeing for paternity test to prove her faithfulness, the new mother reporteldly share feeling sadness in her husband’s reaction.

Accoriding to reports, the viral post Weibol, attracted several messages of reassurance that it was normal for newborns to have a darker tone.

This phenomenon can occur naturally in newborns because their skin tissue is thin and their blood circulation is poor,” one self-proclaimed expert commented. “It is very common for dark red skin to eventually turn white.”

“This is very common,” another user shared. “The skin color will lighten over time.”

Others were more concerned with the husband’s attitude and his lack of confidence in the young mother, advising her to have a long, hard conversation with him about their relationship following the result of the test.
