The highly anticipated rematch between the Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs and last season’s finalist, the Philadelphia Eagles, has been confirmed after both teams claimed victories in their respective Conference final wins on Sunday.

The defending Champions, the Chiefs, made it three from three finals in the playoffs, following a 32-29 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Led by inspirational quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who also scored two rushing touchdowns on the night, to help them recover from a 0-6 third quarter after holding narrow 7-3 and 13-17 leads to push across the line with 11-7 and the 32-29 win.

The Eagles also showed why they were finalists following the 55-23 demolition of the Washington Commanders in their Conference final game.

The Eagles, on a high of consecutive finals return, were never in threat of being downed by the commanders who were outgunned throughout a predominantly one-sided game. Claiming three of the four quarters, 14-3, 13-12 and 21-0 in the first, second and fourth, only relinquishing the third 8-7.

The win set up a gripping showdown with rivals Chiefs for consecutive Super Bowls.

The Grand showdown is set to take place on February 9 in Louisiana.
