Two-time Olympic Women’s Sprint Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce is reportedly set to open her Diamond League calendar in the Middle East, as a competitor in the Doha, Qatar-hosted event, set for May 16.
According to reports, Fraser-Pryce is set to line up in the women’s 100m at the May meet. The event will be the second official 100m of the season for the five-time 100m World Champion, who opened her season with a wind-aided 10.94s for victory at Velocity Fest at Kingston’s National Stadium in April.
Before her reported Diamond League debut(for the season), Fraser-Pryce will, however, get some warm-up preparations as part of Jamaica’s team to compete at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China.
The Mommy Rocket has been listed to compete in the women’s 4x100m along with good friend and reigning 200m World Champion Shericka Jackson, who’s among the other notable sprinters in the relay pool.
