The Reggae Boyz could return to Jamaica as World Cup Qualifiers for the second time in the country’s history when they tackle rivals Trinidad and Tobago in a penultimate group qualifier fixture at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Trinidad, on Thursday.

The Boyz, who currently top the group with nine points from 4 games played, confirm a return to the tournament should they beat third-place Trinidad and Tobago at home and second-place Curaçao drop points against out-of-contention Bermuda in their game also on Thursday.

Should the results be in Jamaica’s favour, they move to an unassailable 12 points, clinching their ticket to next year’s tournament with a game in hand.

Any contrary results would see an intense showdown for honours in the final fixtures when the Boyz tackle Curacao, their final group game against in Jamaica on the 18th.

As it stands, as group leader, Jamaica heads into the game with an advantage on 10, followed by Curacao on 9 points, with Trinidad still in with a shot on five points.

Kick off time is for tonight’s game is set for 7:00 pm

The top two finishers in each group of the CONCACAF’s final round secure automatic qualification to football’s biggest show.
