Broadbell, Ricketts, Hudson among J’cans set for Monaco Diamond league

Commonwealth men’s 110m Hurdles Champion Rasheed Broadbell, Women’s world championship Triple Jump silver medalist Shanieka Ricketts and former national 200m Champion Andrew Hudson are the Jamaicans set for the Monaco Diamond League on Friday.

Broadbell, fresh from securing his first National title, will be among the headliners in a stacked 110m hurdles field, including the US pair- World Champion Grant Holloway and silver medalist Trey Cunningham.

Hudson, who booked his ticket to Paris in the 200m following a second-place finish in Kingston, will match his wits against U20 record holder Lestile Tebogo of Botswana when they clash in the half-lap event.

Ricketts will also test her form in her pet event when she lines up for the Women’s Triple Jump ahead of the Olympics.

The other Jamaican active on the day will be fast-rising 400m Hurdler Malik James-King, who is set to face the world record holder Norway’s Karsten Warholm.
