A 20-year-old California woman was on Wednesday slapped with felony murder charges after it was revealed that she ran over a man with a car, killing him on Sunday September 25, over a quarrel about a cat.
The accused Hannah Star Esser was charged with fatally ramming forty-three-year-old Victor Anthony Luis after accusing him of attempting to run over a cat.
It understood that on the day in question, Esser exited her vehicle and confronted Luis in a cul-de-sac in Cypress California.
Reports further stated that the accused began hurling profanities at the victim for attempting to kill a cat on a busy street.
As the argument further escalated, the accused then got back in her car and completed a three-point turn and accelerated the vehicle into the victim’s car killing him on the spot.
Esser was later detained on a $1 million bail and is expected to be arraigned on Oct. 13. If convicted the accused faces up to 25 years in prison.
