With credits for works with stars like Demarco, rising sensations Kyodi and Ai Milly, music producer Daniel Andre “Dandre music” Hayle is already staking his claim in the conversations among the next major wave of top dancehall productions.

Speaking with SleekJamaica Media, Dandre shares some insights on his creative process and his steady growth in the industry.

In describing his process in making quality music, Dandre notes his involvement in the entire creative process of the production, from concept to creation, which adds that layer of fluidity, authenticity and resonance to the audience

On a daily Dandre seeks new talent to collaborate with to make creative music. Essentially, as a music producer I’m the leader of any music product I’m on, says Dandre, “I oversee the entire process of creating a song, from the initial concept to the final production.

Beyond simply recording a track, the talented musician is always personally invested in the quality of the sound in every aspect of delivering a polished sound, from mixing to working with the artistes in curating the vision of their ideas.

“This career choice comes with a lot of responsibilities, such as leading the direction of a song through song development, sound design, recording of the artiste, [to] mixing and mastering,” Dandre passionately emphasised.

“As a music producer I have to be the bridge between the artist’s vision and the final product by shaping the sound, guiding the creative process, and handling the logistics to make sure the music is polished and ready for release.

Despite being in the industry professionally for just five years, the emphasis on quality control in his music has seen the self-taught producer connect with notable acts like Demarco, Reggae standout Jood Lion, and Neelah.

In addition to having the nod of approval from senior music stars, Dandre Music has also steadily become an architect behind the sound of some Reggae and Dancehall fast-risers, including Kyodi Numbaz, AI Milli. The latter being part of his first major viral collab- titled “Cya Figure Mi Out”.

My first major production was with dancehall artist Ai Milly, with a song titled “Cya Figure Mi Out”. I’ve also worked with Demarco, Joop Lion, Numba’z and Neelah. I’m currently working in the studio with dancehall artist Kyodi.”

Despite gaining an increasingly notable Rolodex of established contacts, he’s expressed an unwavering desire to readiness to work with trying, upcoming acts to produce the next breakout release.

“As young producer myself, I tend to work with young or upcoming artist to possibly create something new and fresh and to also give these new artists a chance to showcase their talent.”

Listing Vybz Kartel as the top act he would love to collab with, Dandre Music has confidently declared the next five years will see an expansive, diverse music portfolio, spanning across genres with some of the industry’s top acts.
