Dancehall artiste Deep Jahi, shares his journey to recovery, in his first song since his release from hospital for undisclosed illness in March titled ‘Recover’.

The “Life goes on” hitmaker, who was recently discharged, chronicles his struggles not only health wise but from individuals who seek to drain his energy or hinder his rise, as he manages to overcome as a stronger person.

Deep Jahi, shared that he was at risk of permanently losing his voice given his condition. A notion which was underscored by more tamed, raspy delivery unlike his usually strong bellowing style.

Despite still being on the mend, the artiste shows he’s still very much capable of crafting and convey powerful emotional messaging.

Messaging which is clearly being received by the fans, after amassing over 100,000 views since it premier on April 9, with his YouTube channel comment section being populated with praise for the work and commendation for his recovery.

Given the early reception of the track, it is projected to eventually break into the local music charts, its already the 21st  most streamed song on the Youtube.

Last month Deep Jahi shared via his Instagram that he was currently admitted into hospital care for an undisclosed sickness which he is said to have been battling for years.
