Noted music production label Droptop Records continues to showcase its versatility, delivering top-notch releases. Their latest project with Popcaan Chronic Law, “Kick Wid Myself,” maintains its status as the top trending release on YouTube.

The project, which is a collaboration effort with Unruly Entertainment and 1Law Entertainment, has already taken the lead as the first fan-favourite anthem of the year, climbing to the summit of YouTube within its first week.

Produced by Rowan Melhado, formerly known as Droptop Records, “Kick It Wid Myself” delivers a raw and honest depiction of disloyalty and betrayal in friendships and relationships. “The relatable theme has resonated deeply with listeners, solidifying the track as a staple in dancehall discussions for the year.

Melhado shared his excitement about the song’s reception:

“This track is deeply personal. It reflects real experiences that many of us face daily. I’m humbled by the love it’s receiving and eager to see how far this project will go.”

With the single’s release and rise coming amidst the recently concluded Freedom Street controversy between the artistes and show Skatta, he stressed the need for Unity within the dancehall space, with the release reflective of how creativity can thrive through challenges.

“These moments remind us how intense this industry can be, but it also shows the dedication and love we all have for the music. ‘Kick It Wid Myself’ is proof that even through challenges, creativity thrives.

Drop Top Records has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry such as Vybz Kartel, Kraff, Skeng, Mallie Donn, and Shane O, among others, delivering several dancehall bangers.
