A Pakistani father concerned over his daughter’s safety has allegedly forced her to wear a surveillance camera atop her head to keep an eye on her daily movements.

The extreme measure by this concerned parent has attracted viral attention on social media with videos of the unidentified woman strutting her very conspicuous surveillance accessory.

In a viral video titled ‘Next Level Security’, the Pakistani woman is shown being interviewed while wearing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera on her burka-covered head.

When quizzed about the bizarre accessory, the young woman confirmed the idea was her father’s idea, noting her agreement with the measurement and empathy toward her parent’s consideration for her safety.

Despite the obvious absurdity of the so-called “security measure”, the young woman noted that the threat of violence against women in Karachi is very prevalent, and her family’s strong concern was warranted.
