FDA recalls Jergens for bacterial contamination

The Food and Drug Administration has alluded that popular skin care product Jergens has been recalled due to a high concentration of the bacterium Pluralibacter Gergoviae.

This bacterium, has highlighted in research, causes infections in persons with weakened immune systems.

The Jergens products that are part of the recall were manufactured between October 1-18, 2021, and have a lot of code on the back or the bottom of the bottle that starts with the letters “ZU.”

Since this discovery, The U.S. Based company KAO, manufacturer of Jergens, is warning consumers about its Ultra Healing Moisturizer in sizes of 3 ounces and 10 ounces.
