Erling Haaland scored his ninth goal in four games following a brace for Manchester City, as the Premier League Champions secured a comeback 2-1 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Halaand, who entered the game with seven goals from his last three appearances, needed just 19 minutes to add to his tally after Yoane Wissa’s first-minute opener stunned the Cityzens at home.

The Burley striker showed composure to brilliantly swivel and shoot in the box, following fine interplay between Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne as his powerful right-footed volley flew past Mark Flekken to equalise in minute 19.

Haaland made it 2-1 shortly after following another signature City counter-attack which had its expected ending a goal from their number nine in the 32nd minute.

That goal was also his 99th in the City jersey in 103 games as he nears his feat of being the fastest to reach a century of strikes for the club.

It’s City’s fourth consecutive win this season, and it sees them maintain the lead atop the standings with 12 points.
