As the growing global demand for Vybz Kartel continues following his ‘homecoming’ Freedom Street Concert on New Year’s Eve concert, the Dancehall “worl boss” has revealed that Rap star Cardi B is among his major collaborations set to be released this year.
” I love Cardi, we got a song coming out next year [2025]”, Kartel shared during a Billboard Magazine interview while responding to questions about the potential work with New York MC ahead of his concert in December.
Kartel, who has been receiving a wave of support from the international music industry during his appeal process and following his release, had previously shared a mutual respect and his desire to work with the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker during one of his first post-release interviews.
No specifics on the track or release date were shared. The Cardi feature reveal could, however, be one of few major international collabs set for release, with the “Worl Boss” also naming Drake as an artiste he would like to collab with.
Given Drake’s staunch support for Kartel and his connection to Popcaan, a link-up seems inevitable, perhaps with all three.
The music video for his chart-topping collab with rapper Sukihana titled-“Pilates” is also due to be released date after being shot last year in Jamaica.
