“I want to make Twitter better” says #Musk in the aftermath of his takeover

Tesla electric billionaire Elon Musk has vowed to make social media platform Twitter a “better” version of its current self-following as part of his mandate after his US$44 billion buyout on Monday.

In a statement Musk said: “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans.”

He also added that he wants to focus more on how the company deals with the free speech component of its operation as one of the main influences of his purchase.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”

Over the years Musk has criticized the company for how restrictive manner in how they limit free expressions. Most recently a few weeks prior to the takeover following his rejection of a board position in the company.

Including posting a twitter poll on if the company’s San Francisco, headquarters into a homeless shelter because “no one shows up anyway.”

While concerns about Musk’s real intention for twitter’s operations have jumped to an all times high, incumbent CEO Parag Agrawal has however express confidence in Musk endgame for the company.

“Twitter has a purpose and relevance that impacts the entire world,” he said in a statement

The sale comes just over two weeks after the Billionaire refused a board seat after they reportedly wanted to prevent him from having more than 14% of the company and just days after announcing ‘Poison Pill’ tactic which was a supposed defense against his initial take over bid of 43-Billion on April 14.
