It’s been a solid week for Dancehall’s presence on Billboard’s radar, with Jada Kingdom and Ding Dong among the featured stars to make an impression on the publication over the period.
Kingdom made her appearance among R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week with her rock-inspired Girls Are Drugs (G.A.D) single, which has not only caught the ears of local listenership but also proven to it’s attractiveness to an international palate.
“G.A.D”, released last Friday, remain among the top trending songs locally with over 164,000 streams.
Ding Dong, who is preparing for the release of his debut album, “From Ding Dong to the World Ding” earned an individual feature highlighting the project’s production.
Commenting on the pending drop, the “Shoulder Fi A Fling” hitmaker shared major features on the album, such as Skillibeng, Busta Rhymes, Govana, afro-beat star Afro B, and Vanessa Bling.
Given the level of quality stacked on this project from one of Dancehall’s most consistent players, the feature underlines international recognition and anticipation of the work of the ravers clavers topman.
