A 23-year-old Argentinian man was fatally stabbed by his jealous girlfriend, who reportedly attacked him with a knife after he exchanged greetings with another woman on the street.

According to reports, an outing between the victim-Mariano Grinspun from González Catán and his girlfriend- Natacha Palavecino, turned deadly as she attacked him after greeting a former schoolmate on the street.

It’s understood that the disturbing incident occurred near La Bastilla Street, where Grinspun and Palavecino, who was said to be walking hand in hand, ran into his old classmate who excitedly greeted him.

The seemingly harmless interaction was, however, enough to trigger the girlfriend, who became enraged and pulled out a knife to attack the woman only as LC by Argentinian media.

LC, who was slashed in the armpit, was rescued from further injuries following the intervention of a passerby. However, Grinspun was not as fortunate as his girlfriend, who directed her anger toward him, stabbing him in the chest during a fit of rage.

Surveillance footage captured the two arguing for minutes, during which he attacked further as the victim collapsed to the ground several times. Eyewitnesses called emergency services, but they could do nothing to save the man’s life.

Palavecino, who was taken into custody, faces charges for the murder of her late boyfriend and attempted murder of his friend.
