Grammy-nominated reggae star Jesse Royal is excited about his latest release ‘Blessings’ which features his good friend Yohan Marley.

The song is a tribute to the late Jo Mersa, the son of Stephen Marley, who passed away on December 26, 2022.

For Jesse, the song is also about showing “love to the persons you love, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone.”

Blessings also touches on mental health and managing stress.

While Yohan Marley and Jo Mersa are related by blood, Jesse is a good friend and both men are still mourning the loss after almost a year.

Jo Mersa was featured on Jesse’s 2017 album ‘Lily of da Valley’.
