Fast-rising dancehall sensation J’ Quan continues to prove his musical appeal after being among the latest additions to a stellar 2024 Reggae Sumfest lineup.

The “Choppa Gospel” hitmaker is set to perform on Night 1(July 19) of the festival, Sumfest announced on Friday.

J’Quan, who has steadily grown his fan base over the last two years, is having a breakout 2024 on the back of his viral dance smash “Chakka.“

The single, which has been a staple among dancehall playlists globally, was the lead single on the “Chakka Riddim,” which itself has joined the welcomed renaissance of top-tier “juggling” releases in current dancehall.

Reggae Sumfest is set to run from July 14-20 in Montego Bay. Aidonia, Teejay and Valiant are among the heavy hitters previously confirmed.
