Dancehall star Vybz Kartel continues his musical impact and interests in exposing upcoming talent after announcing plans for a music showcase for aspiring Guyanese acts, of which the male and female winners will earn a collaboration with the “Worl Boss.”

Kartel shared news of the upcoming event during a media event at the State House with the Guyana President, His Excellency Dr. Irfaan Ali. on Friday.

The event allowed local artistes to speak directly to Vybz about music and his experiences, much to the delight of all attendees.

Kartel, who has been in Guyana as part of business and networking ventures, including the official launch of his St8vybz rum in that market, is set to perform in the country in May, at the Badderation concert.

Kartel, whose itinerary has been exponentially increasing since his release last year, will be appearing in several major events in 2025, including his official performance return in the US in over 20 years as the headline act for Reggae Festival at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn.
