Vybz Kartel’s lyrical potency and expansive knowledge have been globally synonymous with his identity. However, his witty ingenuity was again underlined after legendary producer Don Corleonie revealed that his 2005 hit “Car Man” was completely written on a “matches box.”
Corleonie shared the interesting revelation as a Fun Fact of Kartel’s ingenious aptitude in song creation via his social media on Monday.
“Car Man”, a single which was a massive release in 2005, was among several Corleonie-produced tracks that formed part of Kartel’s iconic JMT (Jamaica Mean Time) album.

The track is among the trove of hit collabs between the duo over the years and remains a dancehall cult classic and Pop Culture reference of satirical rizz and advice into the psyche of approaching high-maintenance women that remains a pertinent description of two decades later.
