It continues to be a super season for Khadija “Bunny” Shaw after she was nominated for EA SPORTS FC’s Women’s Team of the Year for 2023.

Shaw is the only Jamaican listed among 22 players from across the world nominated for the Best IX.

The sports game developer, known for creating all FIFA, NBA and NFL-related games, shared the shortlist via their social media on Monday.

Voting is now open to the public on EA Sports FC’s website.

The nomination underscores a scintillating year for the Reggae Girlz skipper, which saw her break Manchester City’s single-season scoring record to become the first player to score three hattricks in the WSL in a calendar year.

Shaw, who was edged for last season’s Golden Boot Award, has already staked her claim for the prize, having scored a league-leading nine goals in nine games thus far.
