National 400m champion Sean Bailey is now an Adidas athlete, as he has signed a deal with the footwear giant.
Bailey disclosed the news in a SLEEK Sports exclusive.
The signing comes after he was ruled out of the final of the men’s 4x400m at the World Athletics Championships due to a hamstring injury.
Bailey strongly believes in Philippians 4 which states “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me” and says this partnership with Adidas is a “Dream come through.”
He says “These past two years out of college I wanted to run track and field professionally. Two years later I am an Adidas athlete.”
The National Champ also expressed that “The journey has not been an easy one by any means. I wanted to give up so many times because I felt as if I wasn’t good enough. I stuck with it and I’m here to tell anyone out there chasing a goal that it is possible, it’s not a cliche, work hard and dedicate yourself. You have to be obsessed with whatever you are doing and trust me you will see the results.”
Bailey, who won the national title in July, placed fifth in the men’s 400m final of the World Championship last month and is hoping to improve his personal best of 44.43 seconds.
