Legendary dancehall producer Steven “Lenky” Marsden will be adding another plaque to his music accolades after Nicki Minaj‘s 2023 hit “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which used his iconic “Diwali Riddim” via Lumidee sample, went platinum in the US.

The track, which utilises the Dancehall instrumental via a direct sample of Lumidee’s 2003 billboard smash “Never Leave (Uh Oooh Uh Oooh),” was officially certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of 1 million units sold over the Easter break.

“Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” was the lead single to Minaj’s 2023 “Pink Friday 2” album which itself gained platinum certification over the break.
