Oliver Samuels, a stalwart in comedic theater, has been the face of Jamaican stage comedy and is gearing up to treat residents of Florida with his new play, “Teet N Tung.”

According to Oliver, “TEET AN TUNG” is chock full of spicy yard vibe flavors and heats up like the warm Caribbean sun, delivering more laughs per minute than anything you’ve ever seen”.

It starts with Joseph, (Oliver Samuels), and Muriel (Deon Silvera) who (in the play) have been engaged to be married for over thirty years. There is nothing that seems to get Joseph more edgy and uncomfortable than the constant visits by Muriel’s saucy and outrageous best friend Della (Audrey Reid) who is always boasting to Muriel about her romantic encounters with her heartthrob, referred to only as her “little man”.

In a nutshell, it is an intriguing ‘hattaclaps’ type of romantic saga.

Oliver is excited to premiere his play that kicks off this weekend, September 2 at Everglades High School in Miramar. The following day, the final performance will be held at 6 p.m. at the Coral Spring Center for the Arts in Coral Springs.

He is also thinking of doing a theater tour with ‘Teet N Tung’ around the US and Jamaica.

Meanwhile, Oliver Samuels was awarded the ‘Award of Excellence’ from the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey for his iconic service to culture locally, regionally, and internationally.
