The outpouring of tributes continues to flow for Legendary Reggae Singer Calvin George Scott, affectionately known as “Cocoa Tea” following news of his passing on Tuesday morning. 

Several entertainment personalities and industry insiders took to social media to express their grief and share their memories with iconic reggae crooner.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness was also among noted personalities to share grief at the news of one of Jamaica’s most adored and soulful musical talents, whose sound captivated fans the world over. At a testament to the cross-strata appeal of the iconic artiste.

The singer is known for delivering a slew of Reggae classics throughout his career, including gems such as spiritual staples “Every Knee Shall Bow” “, Holy Mount Zion”, the iconic rockers “She Loves Now” and “Sonia Come Back” among others noted releases.

The specific cause of death has not yet been publicly shared, however, it’s reported the singer had been previously been with Lymphoma and pneumonia diagnosis’ per, the Jamaica Gleaner.
