A Portmore Empire reunion has been confirmed to be part of the performances at Vybz Kartel’s highly anticipated Freedom Street Concert at the National Stadium on December 31.

Kartel shared the news of the planned link-up during the press conference for the event at Jangas on Wednesday.

Former Empire “prefect” Popcaan, whose presence at the event was publicly shrouded in mystery until Wednesday’s confirmation, further solidified the reunion with a link-up of his own, whom he surprised with an iced-out Rolex.

In addition to the Empire link-up for the local aspect, Kartel also confirmed that the show would see major rap stars pass through for special guest appearances to satisfy an international component to the fervently followed homecoming show.
