Jamaican-born Football super star Raheem Sterling has officially been announced as the brand ambassador footwear giant Clarks.

The Manchester City Winger posted the news of the deal on his twitter recently which was also reposted by the company’s official page

Sterling who, who had several partnerships with the brand before, including collaborations on Jamaica inspired designs and Bape cross both of which were immediately sold out, is now officially part of the England-based brand.

The deal further solidifies its move to twin the Jamaican culture and British fashion to expand its market share globally.

“Jamaican culture still plays a huge part in my life and there is not a shoe or brand that can come close to Clarks in Jamaica. To me, Clarks represents culture, and that’s why I wanted to work with the brand in a big way,” Sterling said.

“My first project with Clarks Originals made such an impact both in the UK and Jamaica that I knew I wanted to do something much more significant with the brand and I’m excited for everyone to see what we’re working on,” he added.

The Manchester City winger most notably partnered with the brand as part of a charity initiative to donate dozens of shoes to in need students in his childhood community of Maverly.

The England international also used a line from Vybz Kartel’s 2010 smash ‘Clarks’, to tease his first line under the Clarks brand via captioned tweet.

“A weh yuh get dem new Clarks der Dargy?” he posted, before adding that he and Clarks are preparing to drop some heat, tagging the brand in the tweet.
