European football giants Real Madrid added another historical feat ‘under its belt’ after becoming the first club ever to exceed 1 billion euros in revenue.

The club announced the record-breaking revenues during the release of their annual financial statements on Tuesday.

According to the report, the billion-euro figure which excludes player transfers, represents a 27% jump from the €873 million generated revenue in the previous season.

It also reflects a 16 million euro profit over the season.

The 15-time European champion is already categorised as the most valuable football club in the world with an astronomic $6.6 Billion tag.

A valuation is set to increase further with the recent acquisition of France superstar Kylian Mbappé among their roster.
