Pop megastar, Rt Honorable Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has officially been named among the Forbes annual list of richest Billionaires.
According to the world rated publication ‘Ri Ri’ who had been recognized as a billionaire last year August has been ranked as the 1,729th richest person in the world and has also been credited among the self-made status.
The music mogul and fashion designer’s net worth has been valued at US$ 1.7 billion dollars at time of publication. According to Forbes, a lion’s share of her accumulated wealth come from her bran-based ventures.
Ventures which include her 30 % stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line which was valued at 1 billion last year and with more coming from her joint ownership of Fenty cosmetics with Louis Vuitton Moet and Hennessey (LVMH), which generated US $ 550 million in revenue in 2020.
The ‘needed me’ singer was candid about her feelings on the milestone during an interview with the New York times last year.
“It’s tricky because it’s hard to even accept that’s where you’re at because I know where I’ve come from,” she said. “At the same time, it feels good to be able to inspire young women and boys, who like me, come from humble beginnings, who come from parents who are immigrants or who are immigrants themselves, to be able to do this.”
Other celebrities to make the cut includes Roc Nation label mate; Kanye West (ranked no. 1,513 with $2 billion) West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian (No. 1,645, $1.8 billion) and label Roc Nation boss Jay-Z (No. 2,076, $1.4 billion).
According to Forbes, the world now has 2,668 billionaires with a collective net worth of US $12.7 trillion.
