Jamaica will have representation at Brazil’s BreakTudo Awards as super producer Rvssian and musical star Shenseea secured nominations at the 2024 staging set for October 10.

The awards recognises the highlights of music, the internet and television.

Rvssian was nominated in the category of “International Collaboration of the Year” for his collaboration with Latin music star Raúl Alejandro and afrobeat sensation Arya Star on “Santa.”

The single, which was released in April Santa has experienced significant success in the Latin market including triple platinum status in Spain in addition to several top 10 chart appearances since its premiere.

Rvssian is nominated alongside Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ -Die With a Smile and Cardi B’s collab with Shakira on “Targeting” among others.

Shenseea will also be aiming to make a huge statement at the Latin-based awards as one of the International Rising Stars Awards nominees.

The “Hit & Run” hitmaker was nominated alongside names such as breakout Afrobeat star Tyla, R&B singer Tinashe, British pop sensation RAYE and Latin music star Bad Gyal.

The winners are set to be announced on October 10.
