Jamaica’s all-time record goal scorer Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw continues to etch her name into the record books following her brace against Haiti that assisted the Reggae Girlz in qualifying for back-to-back World Cup tournaments on Monday.

Shaw who entered the game on 52 goals having scored the winner against Mexico last week, extended that tally to a record breaking 54 goals, breaking her own record of course from the prior game.

The tally moves the Jamaican inside the top 30 all-time international goal scorers in female football history at 25-years old.

The Manchester City striker who broke the Legendary Luton Shelton’s goal scoring record (35) across both genders in 2021 at 22 years old, had in the process become the youngest to in CONCACAF to reach 40-goals.

A feat which brought into perspective the caliber of talent the former St. Jago High school standout possessed.

The Spanish town native topped the scorer’s table for then team France Ligue 1 team for Bordeaux fc with 22-goals in 2021, before signing for English WSL team Manchester City the summer of that year.

With the double strike against Haiti, Shaw now moved her tally for the CONCACAF championships to 12 goals thus far, with at least one more game to play, the semi-finals, where Jamaica is set to face Canada in the round of four fixture.

Shaw who was already part of the history making World Cup qualifying team in 2019, is also part of further history with a historical return four years later.

Given the team’s growing confidence and the caliber of Shaw’s composure on the big stage, everything she does forward will automatically be breaking new grounds for the National program.
