Rap star Tory Lanez is again making waves across genres after earning two entries among the top 10 of the Reggae Top Songs chart on iTunes.

Lanez appears on the chart at number five and eight respectively with his 2017 track “Toca” and 2020’s “Eediot Bwoy.”

The tracks which are heavily dancehall/reggaeton-themed releases form part of a collective spike in listenership of Lanez’s music over the last month including becoming the first artiste to earn 1 Billion streams across platforms without being playlisted for his song “The Color Violet”.

Lanez who is no stranger to Jamaican culture, earned his global break-out success courtesy of his dancehall-based release-“Luv” which samples the Tanto Metro & Devonte classic “Everyone Falls in Love.”

The Toronto native has collaborated on several international dancehall bangers such as Sean Paul’s “Tek Weh Yuh Heart” and Kranium’s “We Can.” He’s also linked up with Stefflon Don for her “Senseless” remix
