The father of convicted rapper Tory Lanez, Sonstar Peterson has lashed out at the guilty verdict against his son and has pointed the finger at Jay-Z and his Roc Nation imprint as orchestrators of the result.
Lanez’s real name Daystar Peterson was found guilty on all three charges in connection to the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion following an altercation between the two rappers who were said to be romantically involved.
Following the guilty verdict, Peterson Sr expressed his anger about the outcome both inside and outside the LA courthouse where his son was found guilty.
He vented that he witnessed the “Worst miscarriage of Justice that the world has ever seen” before listing Jay-Z along with persons on Megan’s legal team he feels had colluded and influenced the outcome against the Canadian-born rapper.
“Alex Spiro, Desiree Perez the COO of Roc Nation, “and the whole wicked system of Roc Nation, including you JAY-Z.” he raged
“You[ Jay-Z] who say you rose from the gutter, but you have traded and bartered the souls of young men, and you’re still doing it.”
Meg of course is signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation music label.
Lanez’s stepmother who was also present beside Peterson also let her thoughts be known: “Beyoncé and Jay-Z, you have children.”
“Let us see, you are making other people go to jail. You have kids. God is watching.”
The accusations form part of a larger rant about the trial which he claims was marred by a raft of illicit and unethical activities.
“I have seen so much evidence buried in this,” he claimed.
“And I know exactly what the public out here will say. You will say that I say this because I am a father.”
You see, I am a father of thousands around the world.” “I am a father of my kids, but a spiritual father to many.”
“And I don’t make stupid allegations because I’ve got nothing better to do.”
He continued; “I’m calling on everyone in this country to begin to rise up because your sons are being done dirty.”
A jury of seven women and five men found Lanez guilty of three felonies: assault with a semi-automatic firearm, shooting a firearm in a grossly negligent manner and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
He has been taken into custody until his sentencing in January.
