Dancehall “Worl Boss” Vybz Kartel says his musical goal is to help restore dancehall to sustained international prominence similar to other major genres.

“My goal right now is to take over back dancehall, bring dancehall back pon a level internationally,” he said during an interview with the popular Caribbean online channel Whattyuhknow”.

Kartel, who has been a dominant force within the dancehall space since his return to freedom last May, with a handful of notable trending releases, including two charting drops- “The Comet” and “Str8 Vybz.”

The “Fever” hitmaker, who successfully headlined his ‘welcome home’ concert-Freedom Street on New Year’s Eve, has received a wave of international support for performances as well as potential collaborations.
