“Whisper” Richards set for Loan Move to Leicester City

Reggae Boys and Chelsea U-21 striker Dujuan “Whisper” Richards is set for a loan spell at former Premier League Champions Leicester City FC.

Richards’ manager, Craig Butler, broke the news during an interview with the local Jamaican media station CVM TV on Monday. According to Butler, the move to the Championship team, which is being pushed for completion this week, is aimed at helping the talented Chelsea man gain first-team action.

Richards,19, has been a solid player in the Premier League II for Chelsea’s Youth team since signing with the Blues in 2023. However, has yet to earn a call-up to the competitive first team under the previous Manager Enzo Maresco.

With several National caps and goals under his belt, with the prospects of World Cup participation looming, a loan Spell for first team action could be the spark to show off his quality in senior competition, not only for new Chelsea Boss…. but also for other teams potentially in the have the explosive Jamaican on their radar.

The move to the “Foxes” will see Richards link up with fellow Reaggae Boy Bobby De Cardova Reid at the 2016 League Winners, who are currently locked in a mid-table dog fight in championship.
