The concept of selling one’s soul has been subject to many a debate for years over its interpretation from both biblical and modern societal standpoints; however, one Russian woman has reportedly taken the idea literally, contractually agreeing to a “soul sale” to get a collection of the ultra-popular Labubu dolls.

According to reports, a marketing expert who identified himself as Dmitri on the Russian social network Telegram posted an Ad, meant to be a social experiment, offering a payout of 100,000 rubles to anyone willing to sell their soul, and make it official by signing a contract in their own blood.

It’s understood that the woman, said to be 26 years old, came forward for the promotion with an official contract relinquishing the rights to her soul, seal in the blood, in accordance with stipulated terms of the Advertisement.

It’s further reported that, although surprised by the serious response, Dimitri honoured his deal with the cash payout along with the popular dolls he shared on the social media platform with receipt of the contract captioned “Just bought my first soul”

“A young woman named Karina responded, accepted the deal, signed the document, and sealed it with blood,” the Russian man wrote. “I just bought my first soul. I definitely feel like Davy Jones right now!”

It’s further reported that while commenting on the bizarre transaction, she expressed little care for her sold soul or what its new owner’s intention was to do with it. As for the money she got, it was said to be spent on a collection of Labubu dolls and a ticket to a concert by Russian folk singer Nadezhda Kadisheva.
