It is set to be a youthful squad for the National Senior Reggae Boyz when they take the field against Peru in their international friendly on January 20, in Lima, Peru.

The squad list, which was released on Saturday, sees the incision of several former players being recalled into the squad – striker Jourdaine Fletcher, central defender Jamoi Topey, and winger Peter-Lee Vassell.

The team will, however, have a balance of experience with veteran central defender Kemar ‘Taxi’ Lawrence, Jovan Watson and Damion Lowe who is set to make new life David Beckham’s MLS outfit Inter Miami. Meanwhile, Amal Knight stands between the sticks in place of a regular keeper and captain Andre Blake.

Noticeable absentees are strikers Leon Bailey from Aston Villa who is recovering from a muscle injury, West Ham’s Antonio Watson, Bobby Reid, Junior Flemmings, and Shamar Nicholson, both of who recently completed moves to the French and Russian leagues respectively.

It will be the first official match for new head coach Paul Hall since taking over the reign from Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore.

The squad is expected to be back to full strength when World Cup Qualifiers resume with the team facing Mexico on January 27, at the National Stadium.
